Mighty Mac Night Scene — Handmade Mixed Media Michigan Card

Description

The Mackinac Bridge rises against a deep navy night sky — its towers in orange and gold, its suspension cables strung from actual black thread applied by hand, its bridge lights represented by 41 individual flat-backed rhinestones in red, blue, green, and clear placed one at a time across the span. Below the bridge a layered water reflection in multicolored horizontal strips mirrors the scene above. The structural trusswork of the bridge deck is cut and layered in black cardstock. A green median strip runs the length of the span. Every element precision cut and hand assembled. This is the last remaining card of a run of four. It carries minor assembly marks from the maker’s hand — evidence of a first edition piece made before the process was perfected. Priced accordingly and offered transparently. If you know the Mighty Mac, you know this card.

REPLACEABLE MESSAGE INSERT SYSTEM — These cards are made to be sent again! A standard 3.5″ x 5″ index card slides into the interior pocket. The recipient keeps the insert — the card keeps the bridge lights shining. Snail Again. Made in Ypsilanti, Michigan by BKS Cards and Crafts.
