I wanted to make something for my nieces because they are about to leave on a grand adventure. I found a pad of 12×12 adventure-themed cardstock at my craft store and knew I was making them journal scrapbooks for their trip.
Materials I Used:
• 12×12 pad of Adventure themed cardstock
• White Cardstock
• Glue for covers
• Stickies for assembly
• Silhouette Cameo 4 and Razor Cutter
• 2 Book Binding Rings
Specifications for Pages:
I made my pages 6 in x 8 in because that will allow for a 4 in x 6 in photo to fit in either direction and leave room for a journal entry on every page as well. You can make these any size you wish.
Covers:
I made my covers 6.5 in x 8.5 in and added cardboard to make them more substantial. I recommend making your covers at least .25 in bigger than your pages.
Journal:
These scrapbooks have sixteen two-sided sheets, which provide thirty-two pages. There is a journal area and at least one embellishment to every page.
Lessons Learned:
1. Glue cover pages onto the cardboard after the holes are drilled. Do this so the edges don’t tear.
